The Difference This Time

I am 35. I told my father recently that this year will be the first in which I vote for a candidate rather than against a party.

My father, in his mid-50s, stated that for the first time in his life he is going to vote for this same candidate because he genuinely likes that person and wants to see that person in office, instead of voting for the lesser of two evils.

Even if you don't know me and have never read anything I've ever written, you know which candidate I am talking about.

That means something, no?

Media: Stop It

Stop saying the bridge "melted". Like the WTC, the steel in the bridge was weakened in the fire enough to cause structural collapse.

Stop saying "the Democrats don't have enough votes to override the veto". The Democrats don't have enough members in congress to override the veto. There are not enough Republicans voting against the continuation of this war to override the veto.

Get it straight.

Work in Progress

Still haven't decided where I want to go with the new site. I don't want this to be a "clippy" blog again, but I will revert to that more often then not, I'm guessing.

Suggestions?

Ugly as Hell

I know the site looks like shit right now and is hard to read as well.

This will be fixed in the days and weeks to come.

“We were speaking about ruthlessness”

Want a taste of the wingnut racist xenophobic fear mongering we are up against?

Read this.

"Left Behind" for the NeoCon crowd.

Yes it is a little old, but I had not seen it before.

William Lexner posts a somewhat longer review.
